I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
